Classes with a physical education instructor begin in kindergarten, so that young students can lay the foundation for a lifetime of fitness and activity. The Kindergarten physical education program provides our youngest students consistent and deliberate opportunity for physical development. Physical Literacy at this level is focused on gross motor skill acquisition. Students learn and play in a fun and social environment.

Activities rotate through a recurring cycle focused on three themes: loco-motor skills (ex. galloping, skipping, sliding), stability skills (ex. yoga, gymnastics) and manipulative skills (ex. throwing, kicking, volleying). Along with building a strong physical foundation, students work to develop the social emotional skills necessary for individual growth and group harmony.
