When your child turns three, they are ready to join our Montessori learning community. If your child will be three by September 1, 2020, you can submit an application for the 2020-2021 school year.
For over 50 years, we have been educating children to be confident risk takers, creative problem solvers, and critical thinkers. Our 21st century individualized curriculum doesn’t just prepare your child for a powerful academic career, it prepares your child for life. Finding the right school can be one of the most exhilarating and challenging experiences you face as a parent, which is why our admissions team is here to answer any question, big or small. As in our educational program, we encourage parents to bring their curiosity to their exploration of Ancona and to never cease to ask questions. The admissions team looks forward to meeting you and sharing our remarkable learning community.

No, student interviews are not part of our admissions process. Rather, student visits are scheduled for all applicants. In addition, we invite parents for an interview with a member of the Admissions team concurrent to the student visit. Student visits, just like our teaching approach, go beyond the norm; we look at the whole child.
Parent interviews are from 30 to 45 minutes. Student visits vary in length depending on the age of the child:
Applicants to Preschool (P3 and P4) and Kindergarten: 30 minutes
Applicants to 1st Grade: A school afternoon, from 12:30 p.m. – 3:05 p.m.
Applicants to 2nd – 8th Grades: An entire school day, from 8:05 a.m. – 3:15 p.m
No. Students bring packed lunches or place organic lunch orders through The Grill Catering and Delivery. Ancona provides free milk for all students.
