Liz Iverson

Head Teacher, 7th and 8th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies

Liz Iverson has been at Ancona for eight years, teaching 3/4th and 5/6th grades before landing her dream job as a 7/8th grade teacher and advisor. She has a degree in Cultural Anthropology with a focus on Urban Studies from NYU and a Masters of Science in Education from Bank Street College, one of the founding institutions of progressive education. Before moving back here to her hometown, Liz taught at the American Museum of Natural History and the Prospect Park Zoo in New York. Liz loves plants and growing things, watching pro-wrestling, reading Jacqueline Woodson, and visiting museums.
