Assistant Teacher, 3rd and 4th Grade
Scott was born and raised on south side of Chicago. He attended public and parochial K-12 schools, and then the University of Iowa, where he majored in General Sciences. After college, Scott taught English in Costa Rica and at the Centro Colombo Americano in Bogota, Colombia for 22 months. In 1975, he co-founded Metro Home Health in Chicago, and in 1994 he began teaching at Ancona. Scott was the recipient of the Reepmeyer Award in 2012, which enabled him to teach, visit, and travel with college friends in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. Scott has been married for 32 years to his wife Blanche. Their two children, Alexis and Scotty, are both Ancona alumni. His hobbies include sailing, swimming, carpentry, mechanical-electrical tinkering, real estate, camping, travel, gardening, and reading unusual historical facts and classical science fiction.
