We are a community. A school dedicated to social justice. A place committed to lifelong learning and empowered students. Our graduates are sought after for their problem-solving skills, their independence, and their genius. They are artists and activists. Educators and leaders. For sixty years, Ancona has inspired children to nourish their inner lives and find the power in their own voices.

We do this in an intentionally integrated environment with caring adults who are committed to culturally responsive, anti-bias education. Our faculty is unmatched in their commitment to every child and their success far beyond 8th grade. Ancona has been a guiding force in my life for over ten years; as a teacher, a parent, and Head of School. I came here to work at a diverse school that valued equity, progressive education, and whole-child learning. I have been sustained by the brilliance and curiosity of my colleagues, the students, and our families.
